Privacy Policy

This explains exactly what we record when you use this website, why, and how to make us stop. Last updated 16 August 2026.

The short version
  • We measure how our own website is used. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracker, and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
  • We set one cookie, so that a returning visitor is recognised as the same person rather than a new one each time.
  • We record your IP address, the pages you view, and roughly where you are.
  • If you send us your name and number through the chat or a form, we keep them so we can reply — and from then on your earlier visits are linked to you.
  • You can ask us to delete all of it, at any time, by emailing info@ovishatech.com. We do not need a reason.

Who we are

This website is operated by Ovishatech. We decide what is collected here and why, which under data-protection law makes us the “data controller” for it.

Contact us about anything on this page at info@ovishatech.com or +91 80803 40813. Our address is Baner, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

What we record automatically

Every visit to this site is recorded by our own software, running on our own servers. Nothing in this list is sent to a third-party analytics company.

WhatDetailWhy
IP addressYour full IP address, plus a one-way daily hash of itApproximate location, and to stop the same machine flooding our forms
PagesWhich pages you view, in what order, how long you stay, and how far you scrollTo learn which pages are useful and which are ignored
How you arrivedThe site or search that referred you, and any campaign tag in the linkTo know which of our efforts actually bring people here
DeviceDevice type, browser and version, operating system, screen and window sizeTo make sure the site works on what people actually use
LocationCountry and time zone. Not your precise location — we never ask your browser for thatTo know which markets we reach, and whether anyone is around to reply
ActionsButtons clicked, links followed off-site, and each question you answer in the chat widgetTo find where people give up

Cookies and browser storage

We set one cookie. It contains a random identifier and nothing else — no name, no email, no browsing history is stored inside it. We also keep a few values in your browser’s own storage, which never leave your device except as described above.

NameTypeLastsPurpose
ovt_vidCookie2 yearsRecognises you as the same visitor on a later visit. Cannot be read by scripts on the page.
ovishatech-vidLocal storageUntil clearedA backup of the same identifier, for browsers that block cookies.
ovishatech-sidLocal storage30 minutes idleGroups the pages of one visit together.
ovishatech-chatLocal storage7 daysSaves an unfinished chat so you do not have to start over. Deleted the moment the chat is completed.
ovishatech-tokenLocal storageUntil sign-outStaff and client sign-in only. Not set for ordinary visitors.

We ask before setting the cookie, and we do not set it unless you say yes. You can change your answer at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of any page — declining deletes the cookie rather than merely stopping us setting a new one.

Clearing your browser’s cookies and site data removes all of these. You will then be counted as a new visitor, and asked again.

What you give us

The chat widget, the contact form and the strategy-call booking each ask for details so we can reply. We keep what you enter: your name, phone number, and — if you provide them — your email, company, project type, budget range, timeline and message.

Once you give us your name, the visits you made before that stop being anonymous. We link them to you, so we can see what you were interested in before getting in touch. We are telling you this plainly because most sites doing it do not.

If you choose to continue a conversation on WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is covered by their privacy terms as well as ours.

Visit summaries and the visitor recordUntil you ask us to delete it
Enquiries, bookings and messagesAs long as we may need them for the work and our records, then deleted

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by a small number of suppliers who help us run the business — our web hosting provider, our email provider, and WhatsApp if you choose to message us there. They act on our instructions.

We will disclose data if the law requires us to. Otherwise, it stays with us.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can object to us analysing your visits at all. You do not have to give a reason, and it costs nothing. Email info@ovishatech.com and we will act within 30 days.

We honour “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends either signal, we count the visit but set no cookie and never link it to your other visits. Most sites ignore these; we do not.

If you are in the UK or EU you may complain to your national data protection authority. In India you may complain to the Data Protection Board. We would rather you told us first — we will usually just fix it.

Children

This is a website for businesses hiring a software company. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top. There is no archive of previous versions — if that matters to you, save a copy.
